Abstract

MIMO-OFDM is a dominant air interface for 4G and 5G broadband wireless communications. It combines multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) technology, which multiplies capacity by transmitting different signals over multiple antennas, and orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM), which divides a radio channel into a large number of close subchannels to provide more reliable high-speed communication. In our study we evaluated the MIMO-OFDM system. We have proposed some simulation scenarios in order to study the impact, the deference and the error rate on this system. We used Matlab software to simulate our scenarios. The simulation results show us that MIMO-OFDM is reliable and the choice of modulation has a considerable impact on its performance.
