This paper presents an induction motor drive system assisted by an 80C196 KB 16-bit microcontroller which implements a speed adjustment numerical algorithm with static control of torque for a variable speed induction motor. In order to obtain a constant U/f characteristic, we calculated the chopping angles alpha of the inverter using a numerical technique. The paper also presents the elimination of certain harmonics in order to achieve an output as close as possible to the sinusoidal wave.
