Abstract

This paper presents the results of a study into the application of fuzzy logic techniques to derive a specific energy prediction model for roadheaders. The fuzzy logic approach is explained to construct a valid model for SE prediction of roadheaders and the comparison is made between the results obtained from this model and the conventional empirical models. It is achieved that the developed fuzzy model can be used more effectively in describing such applications.
