Abstract

The copper-mediated atom transfer radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate proceeds with first-order kinetics and controlled chain (300-600 mum) in growth to yield nearly spherical bead polymers aqueous suspensions when hexylated triethylenetetramine and poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) are used as the ligand and stabilizer, respectively.
