Abstract

The particle size distribution has been determined for three different montmorillonite samples, The data were interpreted taking into account the fractal properties of the colloidal particles. Within the range of particle sizes where the size distribution displays scaling behavior, the power law is found to be consistent with a reaction-limited cluster aggregation process.
