Abstract

Republic of Turkey is a dynamic newcomer country. • Turkish government is planning to build three nuclear power plants by the end of 2023. • The share of nuclear is expected to cover 10 % of the total electricity generation of the country. First NPP Project; Akkuyu is the world's first NPP project implemented on BOO model. The construction of the 4.8 GW Akkuyu NPP has formally begun. First safety-related concrete was poured for unit 1 on 3 April 2018.
