Abstract

Environment is the set of elements surrounding an organization that affects the way it operates. An organization is structured in terms of the environmental conditions (complexity and dynamism). Determining the ideal structure of an organization based on environmental dimensions is a problematic issue for managers. In this paper, a hybrid analytical method, in fuzzy environment is proposed to deal with the qualitative criteria and determine the suitable structure configuration effectively. The hypothetical case study demonstrated the applicability of the model in structure evaluation of organizations.
