This paper aims to explore the relationship between concepts such as culture, ecology, life style, built environment, and resource utilization. The research area of the paper concentrates on the context of two villages located in Storm Valley of the Black Sea region of northern Turkey. Due to cultural differences, the villages reflect distinctive physical and social choices along with different utilization of the available natural resources.
