Abstract

This study investigates the morphologic conditions of the Meric delta located in Thrace (Trakya) in Turkey. The satellite remote sensing technology integrated with longterm field data were used. It was concluded that some main features of the delta, such as sedimentation, bathymetry, lagoon formation can be determined successfully by interpreting ''Landsat'' Thematic Mapper (TM) multispectral image data.
