Abstract

In this study, the vibration analysis of the properly working washing machine and the washing machine having axial disturbance were made. The received data from analysed machine were processed for spectrum analyses through Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT). The washing machines with the same type and specifications were used in this experimental study. Herein, the primary washing machine is without any disturbance in its rotor and used for testing and comparison, while the second one is chosen among the machines with axial disturbance in the rotor and the spectral and comparison were made between these two machines. As a result of the spectral analysis, it was determined that the vibration data belonging to the washing machine without any disturbance is around the basic frequency level while high frequency components belonging to the washing machine that having problems in its rotor are very distinctive characteristics.
