Abstract

A mixture of two incompressible Newtonian fluids is considered and the flow induced by steady longitudinal vibration of a pipe on Poiseuille flow in a uniform circular pipe under a constant pressure gradient, is then investigated. Explicit results are obtained in the limiting cases in which a suitable non-dimensionalized frequency is very small or very large.
