Abstract

Magnesite deposits are common in Western Anatolia and they have been formed under the effects of tectonic regime which created necessary ions for the occurrences. Tectonic zones were favorable places in the area. The results have revealed that the weathering and decarbonization processes were responsible for Mg and CO2 sources, respectively.
