Whole-core calculations ave carried out for ITU-TRIGA Mark-II Reactor, using both integral transport theory and diffusion theory. By comparing effective multiplication factors, flux distributions and average fuel-rod reactivity worths, the merit of diffusion theory which have been traditionally used in whole-core calculations, is assessed.
