Özet

In the research project based on Turkish regulations, "Assessment and Management of Environmental Noise Directive" (2002/49/EC), "Building Materials Directive" (89/106/EEC) and "Rules of Heat Insulation in Building" (TS 825), sound reduction index, heat transfer coefficient, moisture control and building materials have been examined for facade wall building elements. Traditional wall building element, brick with two different thicknesses, was used with attached gypsum board of varying air space and mineral wool thicknesses for formation of facade wall. Sound reduction index values for these walls have been measured in the Istanbul Technical University, Physical Control Laboratory Acoustical Unit, Sound Reduction Test Rooms according to TS EN ISO 10140 standard series and results have been evaluated. Research project has been supported by ITU Scientific Research Projects Unit.
