Effect of modifier content on the crystallization and the optical gaps of TeO2-LiCl glass

According to the DTA scan curves of 0.5TeO(2)-0.5LiCl glass taken at different heating rates, the Avrami constant was determined to be 1 indicating that the mechanism for the crystallization is surface crystallization. An activation energy value of 174 kJ/mol was also determined graphically from the Kissinger-type plot using the analysis of Matusita and Sakka for the same glass composition.
