Biography

Mehmet Erkök - CV

Born in 1963 in Zurich, Switzerland. 

Graduated from Ankara TED high school in 1982; graduated fom Mimar Sinan University, Istanbul in 1988 with a major of Industrial Design.

ITU: Teaching Modelmaking techniques, presentation techniques (visual communication), Introduction to Mechanical Design and Workshop classes as Lecturer at the Industrial design department of Istanbul Technical University since 1993.

Industrial Design works: 

Yenal tools co., construction tools design- 2018-2019; 

Mutlu battery co., automotive battery design-2016; 

ITU, 250. anniversary sculpture design and production, Maslak, Istanbul, 2016; 

Bulvar216 shopping mall, sundial design and production, Ataşehir, Istanbul, 2014;

ITU, sundial sculpture design and production, Maslak, Istanbul, 2013;

Polin aquaparks co., watergun design and production, 2010.

Airbrush illustrations, architectural and industrial models, advertisement models and customized cars and motorcycles are part of portfolio. 

Workshop formed in 1998. Works generally labeled as “boutique” and when it comes to cars and motorcycles as “custom”; kinetic objects and sculpture.

Participation with kinetic works to amber festival- Istanbul 2010 and 2012.

Head of board of 'Body Process Arts' association since 2016.
